thinking of making these for xmas gifts this year for my family and S's family. maybe put a kit together so the girls can make their own. seems easy enough. found instructions here and here

new sheep friend at the farm in wiscoy. can't wait to visit her this weekend and give her a big squeeze hug around her fluffy neck.
100 year old barn renovation almost complete. Sad to see the original barn board go away although we've found creative ways to reuse it. Feels amazing to see it come back to life. At one time it was twice that height with a storage area for hay. That's where big bro would shoot hoops every night after school. We had to lower the barn when I was in high school because it was starting to collapse. Then as the years went on it started to shift off the foundation. We thought that we'd have to just let it go but then my parents found some local amish workmen who agreed to restore it for a very affordable price. So exciting!
my mom's newest hatch.

"Oh, that Viet" was said around the office a lot when I was there. And still is, I'm sure. So excited to see him in this issue of my favorite local mag - Metro

if i stenciled this on our wall in our bedroom all gigantic and bold would i wake up every morning with that song in my head? and would that be a bad thing? i don't think so.
I don't luv m's but i do luv this icon. found on the freelance station at work. thanks to whoever designed it, i wish i could give you credit.

pictures are in from lacey's wedding. it is fun to see them again. despite the painfully frigid weather it was an awesome day. this is my favorite pic so far. some of our family huddled together after the ceremony waiting for pictures to take place. her photographer has a cute web posting of a few initial pics and a little story about his experience shooting that day.
cat scratchers are finished. we cut some red oak and stained it a nice dark color for the base. i ordered a FLOR sample and cut that in 4 pieces and nailed it to the wood. they are sticking to the wall with super heavy duty double sided puffy tape.
i tried to get a pic of eugene scratching the left one but he wasn't very cooperative. I rubbed them with cat nip before hanging - I think that did the trick.
(our family photo wall is above - silhouettes of steve & i and all three pets)
Originally I intended this blog to be a forum for myself and two of my college friends to stay creatively linked and inspired. They moved to Portland/Hood River Oregon (MN heart OR). Somehow its evolved to become an electronic filing database of all things that peak my interest.
