artisan activist

the poster show was last friday at the institute. we all worked super hard to make it happen and i think it came together really well. i had a blast and was happy with the turn out and how everything else managed to come together. giant thanks to my friends at aveda for the help. especially emily. above is my poster for the event and the poster i submitted. hard to photograph letterpressed white ink on white paper with moss sewn on but hey - we gave it a shot! pics of the event here. 

it was the perfect way to say good bye to aveda. in little over a week i will be working at illume as a creative manager with the likes of this lady & this lady can't wait. and i cut my commute by more than half. hallelujah!

THINGS FROM WORK.
these are a couple of things I can show you.

FRIDAY PROJECT
Apparently they did this a lot a long time ago. Cool idea >> one person starts the file. you get a half hour to add to it and then you have to pass it onto the next person. It was fun despite my skepticism at first.

There were quite a few people who weren't there or were too busy to contribute and our writers were gone as well. A total of 15 creatives would normally contribute.

We've talked about making books out of them - one side of the page would have the little images of the steps leading up to the final and then the next page would have the final poster large. Or we talked about a blog - or adding it onto L&C website. We'll see. Its just fun.
